Freedom. Yeah, right! Freedom is an illusion created by those who wish to control you. It is an elaborately woven web of deceit and manipulation. From a government it comes at all angles: industry, economy, society. Anything that isn't from a black market, and most that is, the government has taxed, influenced, and otherwise used as pawns in their game of mass manipulation and control. A certain level of decision making authority is given to a population for short periods of time under the label "Freedom". Some claim that society must balance safety and freedom. The same take away the people's freedom to keep themselves safe. One might say "I'm free to do as I please." One would be right if one pleases to do as one's told. Some would say "I own the world, my power is absolute!" Some are unaware they serve the Devil. This illusion of freedom works quite well in most cases because people are generally more apt to blindly serve another, indulging themselves in ignorance, rather than make the effort to think for themselves and judge right from wrong. It is more profitable for them to endure injustice and live without standing up for their beliefs than it is for them to resist evil and risk dying for what they believe in... or so they think. Most want to be as comfortable as possible at all times. If they can't be that comfortable all the time, then the time that is the soonest takes priority. Who knows what the future holds? Why think about later when right now is all that really matters because it's all we really know. Sure, you might consider what happens after death such as a heaven or hell but, even if you believe in such places, that is supposed by many to be in some distant future. The illusion is a blanket that many wrap themselves in to rock themselves to sleep in the rocking chair of the fragile and fleeting moment that makes up their mortal life. They forget about the consequences of their decisions as they drift away sleepily, not realizing that in a short time they will awaken to be judged by their creator. A harsher reality no one has faced than that of death and what comes after. For those God chose, that time will bring comfort and relief beyond measure. For those who failed to humble themselves before the Almighty and accept His gift of redemption, that time will be the time of their greatest regret which can never be resolved. The good news is that freedom of a genuine form opposes that of the illusory sort. Genuine freedom can be found by those who seek it diligently. True freedom comes not from doing as one pleases, rather it comes from being pleased by doing as one is instructed by the giver of freedom. The logic parallels that of the pseudo freedom. Just as the one who said "I'm free to do as I please." and was pleased to do as instructed by the government that gave the freedom, the one who has true freedom also is pleased to do as instructed by God (the only one who gives true freedom). The difference is in the nature and authority of the giver of the freedom. The government's nature is greed and corruption, deceit and manipulation. God's nature is love and compassion, truth and correction. Correction as in to align with correctness, not the correction of man which is to align with a corrupt system. The government's authority is over your body and lasts your lifetime. God's authority is over your soul and lasts for eternity. God gave us all the freedom to choose between right and wrong; to serve the powers of evil or those of good; the freedom to worship ourselves or worship Him; the freedom to be bound or to be free. Therefore, true freedom is a reality given by Him who does not wish to control you as evidenced by the giving of the freedom.
